![]() ![]() "Latino and Muslim in America examines how so called "minority groups" are made, fragmented, and struggle for recognition in the U.S.A. His work with Latino Muslim communities spans ten years of media analysis and ethnographic research in California, Texas, Georgia, Florida, New York and New Jersey. He is the author of Latino and Muslim in America: Race, Religion, and the Making of a New Minority (2018). He uses these critical lenses to engage Latinx religions in general and Latino Muslim groups in particular.
